Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a collection of point symptoms and signs that occurs subsequent entrapment of the median daring within the carpal tunnel. Usual symptoms include numbness and pain in the median nerve allotment. These symptoms may or may not be accompany by aim changes in sensation and strength of median-innervated structures in the hand.
The hand of an 80-year-old female with a several-year history of lack of feeling and weakness. Note severe thinner muscle (abductor pollicis brevis, opponens pollicis) wasting of the right hand in the midst of conservation of hypothenar eminence.
